My Teaching

My Teaching

My teaching entails a combination of various approaches to learning. Firstly, my courses are tailor-made according to my students’ professional and personal needs. Secondly, I personalize learning and inspire students to follow personalized learning plans best suited to their specific interests and skills. Thirdly, I use a student-centered approach to learning where students assume a much more active role in the learning process.

My teaching is a combination of classroom discussion, lexis, grammar, simulation of practical situations through dramatization (role-plays and skits),  problem-solving activities, presentations, debates, case studies, essays, storytelling, songs and music, cultural video clips, gamed-based learning, etc.

My aim is to help students develop an appreciation of sociolinguistics and sociocultural implications of the language and work progressively to express themselves in complex situations, differentiating finer shades of meaning.

My approach is high-tech. I work face to face but have switched to online platforms such as Zoom, Skype, Teams and Meet, and am exploring up-to-date technologies. Finally, students know me for my empathic approach;  I teach with my heart and soul, creating the right ambience in the classroom to enhance the learning process.
