Nikolina Korecic was born in Zagreb, Croatia. Her interdisciplinary education (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music from the University of Arizona, USA, Master of Arts in Languages and Music from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, a master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Paris II, France and international work experience (Croatia, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the USA) have given her know-how from various fields. She is an expert in teaching Croatian for foreigners with a long-term experience. She has been teaching Croatian for over 20 years in schools, private firms, corporations and universities and now she is independent. She is a naturally born communicator, self-initiator and leader.
She has worked as an English and French lecturer at the Music Academy and Faculty of Law, Zagreb, Croatia. As a Croatian Lecturer at Université Stendhal Grenoble Alpes, France from 2010 to 2012 she was actively involved as an organizer of different cultural events. In 2011 she was an IATEFL BEsig Local Conference Organizer in Dubrovnik, Croatia where she brought 400 participants from all over the world to the first Business English conference in Croatia. She showed the same degree of enthusiasm being part of the team for Croatia’s EU accession event at the European Commission in Luxembourg on 1 July 2013. She worked as a Croatian Translator at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium from 2012 to 2015.
Since returning to Croatia she has been teaching Croatian, English and French face-to-face and online and has worked as a Court Interpreter for English, French and Croatian for County Court in Zagreb. She is also an author, translator, editor and professional musician- opera singer. She lives in Zagreb, Croatia now.
She is passionate about her teaching Croatian for foreigners online and devotes her time entirely to make online programs better collaborating with experts in the field from all over the world.
